Itinerary and Fees CDO- Bukidnon- Camiguin Tour 2024

 CDO- BUKIDNON-CAMIGUIN

Unplanned Travels offers more thrills and surprises. Furthermore, this trip we are not so prepared because we book for our tour and accommodation almost in last minute. This tour is good for 3 nights and 4 days mainly for Cagayan de Oro, Bukidnon, and Camiguin. I am amazed of the wide road from Cagayan to Bukidnon it is composed of six lanes, bigger road means no traffic. The road view is green with lot of plants and trees. Since its April the yellow trumpets in Bukidnon is so attractive and eye catching. The good thing with CDO is that the fare is quite cheap. We get a tricycle ride from Cathedral to Agora Terminal for P10 pesos only though it's quite far.

We booked our day tour for Bukidnon with Probinsyana Travels for 1999 per pax inclusive of tourism fees and tourist spot entrance. This includes Lovers Lane, Rotys Peak, Communal Ranch and Cedar.  Agreed pick up is at CDO airport and drop off at Agora Terminal in CDO.  We decided to choose probinsyana because it is a lot cheaper than DIY and also less expensive compared to other tours we inquired. We missed CEDAR though because we started 9am already. The rotys peak is so challenging because the road is unpaved, rocky and bumpy ride for 1 hour but the view up there is worthy for the risk you take in riding the motorcycle without a helmet.

                                                                       ROTYS PEAK

After our trip we are so tired and rested in Winmin Transient Inn for P472 for 12 hours. It's just beside the agora terminal. For this day we just chill out and go to church for a mass in CDO cathedral. The funny thing is that we are offered a free ride by police car and suddenly we look like captives because the people in our surrounding look at us as such.

After lunch we left CDO and ride a bus for 2 hours from Agora terminal to Balingoan Port. The bus fare is P200.00 with a terminal fee of P5.00 only. I got dizzy for the bus ride and almost lost my consciousness. Thanks to katinco you save my day😀. In Balingoan port we ride RoRo for 360 Pesos the boat left around 330PM (Sunday) and arrived 5pm exactly at Benoni Port Camiguin.

We ride a tricycle from Benoni Port to Pabua Cottages around 25km distance for P75 pesos each. For accommodation for 2 days, we stayed in Pabua Cottages P2000 per day for 6 pax. The advantage of staying there is we are near the port to White Island Camiguin. There are several nearby food stores to choose from like Checkpoint, I Love Alex bar & restaurant, Tapsi log.

On our Day 3 which is Camiguin, we rented a multicab for a day that cost around P 2,800 Pesos inclusive of a driver and gas. Our route is Katibawasan falls(P75), Mantigue Island (P750 boat for 6 pax plus 75 entrance fees, Tuasan Falls(P75), Sto Nino Cold Spring(P75), Old Church Ruins(P50), Sunken Cemetery (free). At Katibawasn falls we are not able to swim since its clean-up day when we go there. Mantigue is a nice island with clear water we enjoyed swimming for 2 hours and they have maximum time limit for 3 hours stay. For Tuasan the water is cold and clean we are able to swim since it's not deep. For Sto Nino Cold Spring we only stayed for 30 mins we don't enjoy it because it is 8ft deep and very cold. For Old Church and Sunken Cemetery we just drop by for picture taking.

On Day 4, we have only white island P550 for 3 pax per boat as per marina plus 50 entrance. This is a beautiful island with white sandbar, and you can see Mt Hibok Hibok at the background. Some locals said that there is a volcano under the white island. Actually, Camiguin have seven volcanoes around the place, but they only have 5 municipalities, earning the name Island born of fire. They have more volacanoes than the municipalities. The residents are blessed with sweet Lanzones because of the potassium and phosphorus that came from volcanic eruption many years ago. And don't forget their pastel which is delectable because it is made of soda water. You can visit Vjandep, the original store but if you run out of time you can buy it near the entrance of the Camiguin airport. My colleagues paid extra fee for their pasalubong because they exceed 7kgs of the maximum baggage allowance of the aircraft. Camiguin airport is very strict of the  implementation of the baggage allowance.

Thank you and enjoy your future adventure! I hope this information helps you in your travel in the future. Aja!
